my good friend's funeral xx
here is the article that has been said in my friends his local paper:
"I WISH I could breathe like you. I know the answer's out there so won't you help me please."
Those were the words sung by Hoddesdon singer Matt Scales, former lead singer of The Gaff.
The haunting lyrics were heard by more than 700 mourners wearing his favourite colour - green - at his funeral yesterday (Thursday, 03 May).

Brave Matt's song Breathe, about his struggle with respiratory disease cystic fibrosis, left family, friends and fans in tears. They spilled out of the packed chapel at West Herts Crematorium in Watford.
Matt succumbed to the illness last week at just 27 years old. Consumed with grief, his childhood sweetheart and wife Amy told mourners of her love for the "charming" man.
Through tears, Amy, 24, said: "Joining the Scales family was the best day of my life. Never have I met a more warm and loving man. He made everyone happy even when he was hurting himself."
Rock 'n' roll star tribute
Matt performed with The Gaff to huge audiences alongside the Kaiser Chiefs and boy band Blue.
The band clinched a record deal and the video for their first single, anti-bullying song Hey Weirdo, was aired on MTV and Radio 2 and is still available on iTunes.
Matt was diagnosed with the illness at just a week old and "died fighting" it surrounded by his family and friends in Papworth Hospital, near Cambridge.
He had "never been happier" after marrying Amy in July last year.
At the funeral, friends said of Matt that "girls loved him and boys wanted to be like him" and "his star will never fade".
At Matt's request, the Billy Joel hit Only the Good Die Young and Matt's own song, I Learned A Lot About Myself, brought more tears at the "celebration of his life".
And the tributes to Matt continue.
Last night pals and fans gathered at Broxbourne Civic Hall in Hoddesdon to remember the "top bloke".
A 16-band concert will be held on Monday at the White Hart pub in Salisbury Square, Hertford from 2pm, in memory of the "exceptional talent".
Matt's last gig was with band The Lullabyes at The Marquee in Hertford on January 22.
